The Audience Development Manager will be working with peers in Ad Operations, Digital Media Sales as well as Media Planners and will be responsible for managing the custom segment building, reporting on audience, performance, and working directly with the Director of Ad Operations to grow our customer base.


  • Work with internal operations, sites, technology partners, sales and marketing to create and deliver high-value audience segments
  • Manage collection of audience data across all owned and operated properties and onboarding CRM
  • Work with Ad Operations to ensure delivery and performance of audience-targeted ad campaigns
  • Anticipate and avoid problems with data, segmentation, platform performance and ad delivery; troubleshoot, document and fix technical issues as they happen
  • Assist the Director of Operations in building a process for regular segment creation, segment retirement and advertising products built on the premise of leveraging audience data.
  • Manage yield monetization via price recommendations, as well as forecast and avails during the planning phase of campaigns
  • Maintain standards for data integrations & requirements for ad serving and connectivity to other SaaS technology platforms needed for monetization, including Ad Server and Supply Side Platform


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 2 years in comparable audience data role
  • Experience with digital campaign setup, optimization and reporting; audience segmentation, audience development, ad targeting and delivery
  • Experience working for or closely with data management platforms (DMP), data exchanges, ad networks, demand side platforms (DSP), agency trading desks or supply side platforms (SSP)
  • Knowledge of applications for database management, business intelligence, ad exchange trading, real-time bidding (RTB), demand- and supply-side platforms (DSP, SSP), ad serving
  • Superior skills with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and web applications

  • Leading marketing programs from inception through implementation and ensuring consistency and effectiveness through cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
  • Partner with Services strategy team to develop business objectives & key supporting marketing strategies based on short and long term goals.
  • Provide timely and relevant customer data, insights and recommendations to Services partners to make strong business decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with core business partners, marketing services and creative services teams.
  • Update Services partners & marketing leadership on the results from various initiatives, including key measurements, learnings and next steps.
  • Manage forecast, tracking and accuracy of assigned budget line items.
  • Overall, being a functional leader that delivers against business goals by leading and managing complex cross-functional projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years related experience in marketing, communications or customer experience.
  • Requires the ability to analyze data, develop new ideas and test new programs to drive sales
  • Must have the ability to simultaneously manage a large number of projects and priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, highly collaborative work style and strong project management skills are essential
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft software applications

  • Responds in a timely manner to production support calls and independently handles moderately complex issues. Seeks to identify and resolve root cause problems.
  • Independently performs ongoing application monitoring and identifies and escalates issues appropriately.
  • Develops, utilizes, and enhances technical documentation and knowledge bases.
  • Works with vendors to resolve issues as needed. Participates in vendor case reviews; supplies logs, information, and facts needed to support vendor resolution of issues.
  • Contributes to the design of technical solutions to meet business needs for small to medium sized projects, considering capabilities, risks, and system dependencies.
  • Ensures technical requirements are captured from other IS teams and identifies gaps between technical design and system/application capabilities for small to medium sized projects.
  • Develops moderately complex custom objects (queries, scripts, etc.) to meet business needs.
  • Recommends and/or develops solutions to increase operational efficiencies, including utilization of automation, proactive monitoring scripts, process changes to reduce support tickets, etc.
  • Works with application vendors ensuring their deliverables meet established standards.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant field
  • 2-3 years of enterprise application/system support or other relevant technical experience
  • Experience supporting production systems and applications, preferably one or more from the product lifecycle (demand, replenishment, inventory, merchandising, transportation, warehousing)
